Evan Appel is an award winning cinematographer based out of LA. Born and raised in northern New Jersey, Evan developed a passion for cinema at an early age. Evan began to pursue filmaking during his time in high school. A graduate of Chapman University, he majored in Film Production with a Cinematography emphasis. Over the course his time at Chapman, Evan developed a keen eye for cinema through his time at school and studied the art of filmmaking intensely. Evan has worked as a Cinematographer on narrative, music video, commercial and corporate work. When not working as a director of photography, he works as an industry camera operator, assistant camera, and drone operator. Evan also works as a still photographer, capturing images through a cinematic point of view. Evan continues to immerse himself in the world of film as both creator and audience.
